João Silva, born in 1988 to a family of fishermen, native of Lagos, Portugal. From a young age he has been connected to the sea
and nature, starting surfing at the young age of 12 years old.
Through this intensive contact with the natural elements he began
to express and represent them artistically, including the academic process in the area of Design and then traveling across the world
to find his form of expression.
Finding the passion for photography after taking his first picture
on his first trip alone, decided his future to dedicate himself to work and travel in the following years.
In 2014 he was invited to be part of The Rich Coast Project team,
a research project and participatory storytelling in the Caribbean south of Costa Rica. This is where film comes into his life falling
in love with storytelling and representing ideas through images.
In 2015 he started to see the possibility to live doing what he loves, spending this year collaborating in different projects, such
as the Sagres Surf Culture, freelancing with other artists and his work featuring in Portuguese magazines.
In 2016 he travelsto Australia on a new creative search where he buys is water housing and from there one the story is being written every day
